C4L provides affordable, reliable laptops designed specifically for eligible Queensland students who need a device for schoolwork, assignments, and online learning.

• You may send us your school’s laptop specifications and we will check compatibility

    • Windows 11
    • At least a 256GB Solid State Drive
    • At least 8GB of Memory
    • State schools provide Windows 365 for free (contact your IT department)

Laptop Models

$100 Laptops

• • • Our starting laptops are Surface Go 3s, equipped with an Intel Pentium Gold 6500Y CPU (1.10 GHz, 4-core), 8 GB of RAM, and a 128 GB SSD.
    • Great for:
      • Creating and editing documents
      • Browsing the web and attending online classes
      • Watching educational videos and streaming content

$150 Laptops

• • • Available only for:
      • State school students in Year 9 and above
      • Full-time TAFE students (must provide photo of physical Student ID AND physical Health Care Card — no digital cards)
      • University students (photo of physical Student ID AND physical Health Care Card — no digital cards)
    • Main difference from the $100 laptops is 16GB of Memory
    • Larger, faster devices suitable for more demanding tasks
    • Ideal for IT studies, senior subjects, and higher performance needs

$195 Laptops

• • • These laptops include 16GB of Memory and more capable processors than the $150 laptops.
    • Due to the limited availability of these devices, they are reserved for students in years 10 – 12 who need a higher performing device to undertake specialty subjects such as IT and coding or engineering and design.
    • Best option for:
      • IT and coding students
      • Engineering and design subjects
      • Running multiple programs at the same time
      • Students who want extra performance and future-proofing

How Do I Get a Device?

To be eligible for a student laptop you must provide a photo of your current and valid student ID. The ID must be from a Queensland educational institution. Only public school, TAFE or university IDs are accepted.

Accepted ID Cards

Your student ID must show:

    • The name of your school or tertiary institution
    • Your grade level (public school students only)

For University Students

Please send a photo of both your Health Care Card and University Student ID.

If you do not have a student card, please contact us — we may be able to arrange an alternative method of verifying your eligibility.

If you are not eligible, you can still purchase a laptop from our Tech Store.
